Just in time for Mother’s Day I have a special treat for my readers! Koryn over at
The Taffy Box has graciously offered one of my readers one of her fabulous locket necklaces from her Etsy store.
Before I review the locket she sent me, let me introduce you to Koryn.
Koryn is a military wife (thank you!) and the mother of four wonderful children. She’s lived all over the world traveling with her family, and now with their Golden Retriever, resides in Virginia. Koryn is also a Breast Cancer survivor with an excellent prognosis after surgeries and Chemotherapy just a couple short years ago.

Not only has she been married for over 23 years and lived a full and wonderful life, she works part time for Network of Strength, a national Breast Cancer peer support organization, counseling newly diagnosed patients. On top of that she also finds the time to run two jewelry businesses from her home
Mother’s Precious Gems and
The Taffy Box. Sounds like a pretty amazing woman to me!
Check out her
blog to learn more about Koryn and her journey.
Koryn sent me one of her beautiful Locket Necklaces from The Taffy Box to first review for you, and then one lucky reader will win the necklace. Everyone say thank you Koryn!
I received the locket and the first thing I noticed was the very cute and professional way it was packaged. It comes wrapped nicely in tissue paper as to avoid marking up the silver, then packed in a cute pouch with a piece of, what else, taffy! I was very impressed with the packaging.
Then I opened the locket!
It really is beautiful! I find it amazing that she actually makes these necklaces herself. Let me tell you, in college a few years ago, I took a jewelry making class, and my work looked nothing like hers!! Hers is beautiful and I think it is of the same caliber as any jewelry store you’d walk into.

(This is the exact locket the winner will receive.)
The front of the locket has hearts stamped into the cover and inside is the beautiful word, blessed, in a nice font. The jump rings are securely closed ensuring the locket remains secured. The back of the locket has a nice brushed finish as well.
This is how she sent the locket to me, but the winner gets to customize the locket with dangling Swarovski© crystals (see the picture at the top of the review for an example) of their choice to make it personalized for them. After the end of the giveaway ends, Koryn will send a secure jump ring with crystals to the winner direct.
When purchasing
this locket at The Taffy Box, the locket retails for $37.00 and can be customized on the front, the inside, as well as the finish on the back to your individual liking when you purchase. It is also available in yellow gold for an additional fee of $15.00 or in a smaller size as well.
Check out her two websites for a variety of products and purchase something for yourself or a loved one today. After all, it is Mother’s Day coming up! What a perfect gift handmade jewelry would be. If Mother’s Day isn’t enough of an incentive, perhaps the fact that a portion of all proceeds goes to an organization that provides early detection of breast cancer to uninsured and under insured women. What a great cause!
